SPORT4EMPOWERMENT
Preparing for the Job Shadowing mobility in Rome.

Preparing for Rome
On September 12, 2025, Euro Mirada brought together a group of young coaches, volunteers, and community members in Fuentes de Andalucía (Seville) for a dynamic information session ahead of our upcoming Job Shadowing mobility in Rome.

The event took place in the beautiful Baroque Interpretation Center, a space that not only hosted our activities but also allowed participants to connect with the rich cultural heritage of the town. It was the perfect setting to reflect on how tradition, culture, and sport can work hand in hand to build stronger and more inclusive communities.
What we did
Discovering Erasmus+ opportunities: Participants learned more about the Erasmus+ program and, in particular, the KA182-SPO action that frames our Sport4Empowerment project.
Exploring key themes: Through non-formal education activities, we explored topics such as digital skills, inclusive and sustainable sports practices, and intercultural communication.
Sharing expectations and challenges: Before the mobility, participants reflected on what they hope to learn in Rome, while also addressing common concerns such as language barriers and adaptation to a new context.
Building team spirit: Dynamic exercises fostered collaboration, trust, and a sense of belonging among the group.
The impact of the session was clear: participants left feeling more confident, better informed, and more motivated. Many reported that their knowledge of Erasmus+, digital tools, and inclusive sports had improved “a lot” compared to their baseline. The non-formal education methodology was especially appreciated, with everyone rating it as highly useful and engaging.
What comes next?
The next stage of the journey will take our team of 10 coaches and volunteers to Rome, Italy, where they will observe how local organizations use sport to promote inclusion and sustainability. Upon returning, they will share these lessons with the wider community, ensuring that the benefits extend far beyond the participants themselves.
