Strengthening Inclusion & Sustainability Through Sport

From September 25th to 29th, 2025, the Euro Mirada team took part in a learning mobility in Rome, Italy, as part of the Sport4Empowerment project. Hosted by Gaycs and Idea Europa, this initiative aimed to strengthen Euro Mirada’s staff competences in social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and the use of sport as a tool for social cohesion.

Over the course of four days, participants from Euro Mirada participated in an enriching program that combined job shadowing, exchange of best practices, and training on sustainability and digitalisation

Thoughts after the Job Shadowing in Rome

The mobility also included a visit to Europa Experience, located in the heart of Rome, where participants learned about the functioning of European institutions and explored European funding opportunities for social and sports-related projects.

In addition, the group enjoyed visiting some of the most iconic sites of the Eternal City, combining professional learning with cultural discovery and reinforcing the project’s intercultural and European dimension.

A Step Forward for Social Change Through Sport

The project highlights how sport can serve as a powerful tool for inclusion, sustainability, and community building.

Following this inspiring experience in Rome, the Euro Mirada team returns to Seville with new perspectives and stronger partnerships that will enhance their local work and reinforce their commitment to a more inclusive society.
